There are more than 30 dams in Thailand. The dam was established for making  the energy power.  In addition, the dams offer  the beautiful nature and create activities around its area such the beauty waterfall, and rafting trail. Therefore, it is become Thailand sightseeing that local people go to visit during the weekend and long holiday.

There are four dams not far from Bangkok has famous of Thailand sightseeing. Some of them, people can visit all year round or go for white water rafting during the monsoon period. It is fun to visit with friends and family. Cool water from the waterfall, can calm down the heat and floating along the white water is so much fun to do.   1. Khun Dan Prakarnchon Dam or Klong Tha Dan Dam (original name) is located in Nakhon Nayok province, Thailand. It is the biggest dam in Thailand and also the largest and longest dam in the world. Khun Dan Dam has many famous waterfalls( Namtok ) such as  Namtok Wang Takhrai, Namtok Sarika, Namtok Sai Yok Noi, Namtok Chet Sao Noi and etc.

  1. Pasak Chonlasit Dam is located between Lopburi and Saraburi province, Thailand. Pasak Chonlasit Dam is one of the oldest dams in Thailand. Pasak Chonlasit Dam has more activities for example fishing, flying fox, rafting, mountain bike, canoeing, walking on the edge of the dam, visit the museum of Chalerm Prakiat and especially is the point that the train stop above the dam. During December to February, you may see Sunflower blossom when the train ride passes the farm.

Kaeng  Kracharn National Park is the largest national park in Thailand bounded by the Tanintharyi(Ta-Now-Sri) Nature Reserve along Myanmar’s border to the west. Kaeng Kracharn National Parkis also founded a variety of beautiful species of flora and fauna in the forest. There is provided many activities to the visitors for example trekking and mountain bike, rafting, bird and starting watching, camping and etc. The highlight is Phanoen Thung Scenic Point, the one beautiful mist cliffs near Bangkok.

  1. Srinakarin Dam is an embankment dam on the Khwae Yai river in Si Sawat District of Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. Sri Nakarin Dam has many natural attractions. It is well known for its beautiful waterfallsand the most famous waterfall is Namtok Erawan and Namtok Huay Mae Khamin. In addition, there are many interesting places in Kanchanaburi for example the River Kwai Bridge(the highlight of the province), the Tiger Temple, World War II Museum, World War II Cemetery, the Death railway, Elephant Camp and etc.

Do more deep research in each waterfall and Thailand sightseeing in that neighborhood. Review resort type that you may light and activities and shopping in that area. Finding more information on local food that you may like to experience. Perhaps looking for resort or tour packages that including the Dam in the itinerary. Therefore, a good plan trip to visit Thailand is not far from your wish.
