Unique Product – Thai Silk

Thai silk is a fabric made of silkworm threads with two unique blends one color for the warp and another for the weft.
Traditional Thai silk made by hand woven has uniqueness and cannot duplicate unlike machine woven which means that every part of the fabric is identical and has the same color.

Thai silk is usually soft but has a relatively coarse texture with uneven, slightly knotty threads. This quality makes it extremely suitable for weaving by hand. Thai silk has a magnificent, rich, exotic beauty and, with proper care, can last a century or more.

The silk threads are produced by hand weaving reeled which is time consuming and 10 times more expensive the artificial silk. The price is also related to design and how the thickness of the fabric. The silk fabric starts from 1,2,3 or 4 filaments.

Silk fabric burned smells like hair burn since it is from nature. It is not a good way to test the product for genial or imitation. You may use another simple way such as the wedding ring test. You can fill one or two meters of silk fabric through a wedding ring. It should be easy to get through since it is smooth and flexible. However, the same cannot be said for fake fabrics as they will crunch up and be very difficult or even impossible to pull through a wedding ring.
